How to Setup Donations in Squarespace
With Squarespace's Style Editor you have complete control over pretty much everything on your website, including fonts, colors, picture opacity, sidebar width, background images, sizes, and spacing.
However, Squarespace doesn't provide an integrated solution for recurring or subscription donations (weekly or monthly or quarterly, or annual). It also has a limited capacity for data collecting.
As a solution, here is a guide on how to set up donations on your Squarespace website with the native features, and how to integrate using a third-party tool.

How to Setup a Donation Page
Click the insert point (plus sign) to edit a page or post, and select Donation from the menu. You can visit Adding material with blocks for assistance.
If you don't currently have a payment processor connected, click Set Up Payment Processor in the block editor. To connect your website to Stripe, PayPal, or both, you need to activate the Payments panel.
To add suggested amounts, click Donation Amounts. If you want to add any type of verbiage to this, you can do that here.
Change the text on the button's label.
In the Checkout Title field, type a title. On the donation page and in emails to contributors, the title will be visible.
The Checkout Description section is where you should enter details about your cause. During checkout, the description appears in the Your Contribution section.
You can edit the emails donors receive by opening the Customer Notifications tab by clicking Edit Donation Receipt
To add more fields for more information at checkout, click Add Form Fields.
To change the button alignment from left to center or right, select the Design tab.
Congratulations! You have set up a donation button in Squarespace.
Setting Up Recurring Donations With Third Party Tools – What to Know
A common tool we recommend if you're trying to make recurring donations is Kindful. It's easy to set up, and it integrates beautifully into Squarespace. However, it can be costly for some and may offer more than you’re necessarily looking for.
Alternatively, there is another great, budget-friendly tool, that is also specifically catered to Squarespace - Donorbox. It does everything Kindful does and integrates beautifully, while the pricing is much more reasonable. There is no actual pricing beyond the actual donation. So if you're just looking for donations, Donorbox is amazing. You can embed it into your site with a few clicks.
How to Integrate DonorBox Into Squarespace
Choose the campaign you want to embed on your Squarespace website by going to your Donorbox campaigns page. If you're new to Donorbox, you must create a donation form and complete the necessary fields.
On the chosen campaign, click the "Embed Codes" button. Here, you can change some of your form's default options, such as the default donation amount or recurring option. You'll notice the code adjusting itself automatically as you modify the settings.
When the settings are to your satisfaction, choose and copy the embed code.
Next, go to your Squarespace page, where you will set up the donation button.
Click the insert point (plus sign), and select embed code from the menu.
Paste the copied code onto your Squarespace website block and click set.
Now you have a recurring donation button set up!
